Homeland security grants for private universities

Post by Radiogeek97 »

guys

for those among us that is up to speed on grants and things of this nature; is anybody aware of the grant restrictions for "interopability" ie: purchasing equipment with grant money from the feds. I know it has to be p-25 capable but i am not sure if private universities qualify for this program. If anybody is aware of grants for radio upgrades from the feds that a private university may qualify for if they could chime in. I have had a few people look into this for us but have not had any luck getting answers.

thanks

You might try looking around on the http://www.safecom.gov site and see what you can find. I think there are some contact numbers listed that could get you a human to talk with.
