Minitor IV Repair
Hello, I have a minitor IV! I had this unit on my belt and when I went to get into my truck lastnight if snagged on the door frame and the belt clip along with the rear of the housing ripped off! So I am left with 2 pieces of minitor! A rear of the case with a belt clip and the front with the circuit board exposed! What do I have to do to get it repaired!! Isn't Motorola the only ones who can replace a housing???Thanks Dan

the standard rate last time was 78$, plus parts i think. the minitor 4 will cause u more problems than that, however i have had some luck using non motorola dealers to repair these types of problems, dont ask me how they get the parts. and its a bit cheaper and they work and and are cosmetically corrected( if external damage occured)
if you definately need to have the radio repaired by motorola, dont use a dealer, send it directly in. its easier and it eliminates confusion, as sometimes i have notice the dealer will charge more. as for the contact number, it can be reached on their website under customer service contacts.
good luck and post back

Dan,
I suggest calling the Motorola Radio Support Center at
1-800-227-6772 to get pricing and a form to return the pager.
I am familiar with a couple of service agencies that will repair Minitor IV's on a "parts as available" basis. When they have housing parts available, the parts are good parts that have come from otherwise non-repairable Minitor IV's (usually pagers that got wet, etc.)
