Post by RadioSouth »

Anyone know of a manuf. that makes a no drill console for a '03 Ram ?
(Reg. cab, bench seats). Just looking to mount a pair of Spectra A-4 heads.

Just curious if you have any particular
console in mind. I am probably going
with the JottoDesk 9" short stack. I have
an '02 Ram; but want to get some feedback
here on the board before the purchase.
Do you have any better ideas?

Haven't any console in mind as I can't find any designed for the Ram on the major manufacturers sites so far. Just computer mounts, nothing found for radio mounting.

Do you have the bench seat ? I have what they call the 40-20-40 split bench and the center section is immovable. Have 10-3/4 from seat to console with about 15" of floor length.

You can remove the middle part...

You can actually remove the middle part of the seat. You'll have to take the front seats completely out to remove the center section though. Its not as hard as you'd think. Eight nuts for both seats, lift it out, take out the center section, and put it back in. Havis shields makes a vehicle specific hump mount for the dodge ram. Hope this helps.

Thanks Craig, would you have a model#. I've checked the Havis site in the specific vehicle fit section and come up empty on the Ram.

its in their catalog, not the specific section which is for speciality consoles.

I'll dig up the part # for you.
