VHF Quantar R1 RX, how high will it go?

Post by n7maq »

Hello, how high will a Quantar Range-1 RX go? I would like to get one up to 161MHz. I have one that I just got going on two meters (with the help of a very good batboard member, THANKS MUCH!!), and I have more. They have R2 TX Sections, so that is not a problem. A smaller railroad has a need for a new repeater, and I have a few of Quanatrs with the R1 RX/R2 TX to get rid of.

Anyone up for a trade R1 for a R2?

Thanks,

Jim.

I have a Range 1 Rx running fine at 158mhz. You will have to bypass the range 1 preselector or use a range 2 perselector.
