NCIC Check?

Post by RESCUE161 »

I have a radio that I'm curious about.

I bought an LPE-200 on Ebay and need to know what the status of it is.

Please PM me if you have access to NCIC.

Just call your local SO or PD records dept and ask them to run the s/n for ya. I do it all the time here and have never had a tech refuse my request.

Only problem with NCIC is that if it does come back stolen, the LEO that ran the s/n for you will have to produce the suspect radio. If you're willing to lose the radio with no compensation, if it is stolen, then go right ahead.

Dave, I think you missed a little something there. Scott is in Spain. I really don't think they have "NCIC" there, although I'm pretty sure they do have something similar. I'm guessing that's why he wanted someone with access to NCIC to PM him.

Rescue161 if you can wait about a week I can run it for you when I get back to work. Also even if it is stolen I don't have to produce the radio so don't worry about that.
Pm me and I will get back to you

Yes, I am still in Spain. They do not have NCIC here and the system that they do have would not recognize a stolen radio from the States. Plus they don't speak English, so it makes it even harder, so I just asked here to make it easier.

Anyway, the radio came back clean. Thank you "911radio"!
