Programming M1225's

Post by bigdaddynate »

I have a quick and probably stupid question.

I need to program some M1225's and only have a computer with DOS and one with Windows XP. I heard there was a way to do it in WinXP but unsure. Any help would be excellent.

The newest version (4.0) of software available from /\/\ works fine on XP. Any of the earlier versions will NOT however. Porcessor speed doesn't matter either- I'm running a 2ghz AMD unit, and it worked great.

I think Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 might be what you're looking for.

I found Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 and bought it. However, It doesn't seem to work on regular winXP. I dcan't seem to get it to boot up and read a CD rom with Win 95 on it.

Any suggestions??

Your best bet is to get version 4.0 of the CPS for windows XP, that's what i use, and i have tried it on everything from 1ghz to 3ghz, runs perfectly.

I can actually get older versions of the RSS to run under XP, however, I cannot read or write to the radios. So back to square one.

herein lies the problem.

Where to get V4.0 of the RSS.............

I assume there is a website or 800 number that I can go to or call to get V4.0, Right?

Here's the kicker..... How much is it?

There is only ONE place to obtain the software - Motorola. Call 1-800-422-4210. The part number and retail price are:

HVN9054E _ SOFTWARE R04.0 1225 _ $295.00

I believe version 4 is free for those that have a license for version 3.2.
