I take care of my local Fire Department and several HT1000 radios are now not "chirping" when the battery is low. These radios previously did, but now they don't. They are enabled in software to chirp for low battery. Any ideas?!?!?
Thanks,
Jamie
HT1000 - No low Battery Chirp

Both low battery chirp for transmit and receive are setup via RSS, there are adjustable variables you can set via a numeric value, the lower the value, the lower the battery level will be when you get the chirp/alarm.
Usually, the default seems to be set at 158, which is too high for proper battery maintenance, and I always lower the TX value to about 50, and the RX value to 30 to get max life before the noise begins.
The chirp can also be defeated in the same screen, both TX and RX can be enabled/disabled.
Enterprize.....One to beam up!
