"Jamming" codeplugs

Just curious if anyone here has experience with getting the MTX1500 radios to accept codeplugs from different regions. Unfortunately, The AA version radio does not support emergency operation. I have aquired a good codeplug that is LA, but I need to know if it is even possible.
