RSS Vers.: R06.03.00 does not respond.(gets freezed)

Post by demoned »

Hello,

Can someone plese tell me why the program RSS Vers.: R06.03.00 for GM900 get freezed when I pres the F2 button for trying to read the radio, no other button works, apart CTRL-Alt-Del. :D There is one thing that I have noticed: the radio beebs when it is connected to the RIB, but as soon as I switch it on the beeb goes off. The RIB and the cables are original from Motorola, but I have also tried other configuration given on this fantastic Forum.

Cheers to all

Generally, a freeze (or a dump back to the DOS prompt) triggered by a DOS program is the result of the application pointing to a memory location that is unassigned. This is usually the result of some failure during application installation, sometimes because the install disks weren't used and some bit of program wasn't installed where the main application engine expects it to reside. Try removing the RSS and re-installing, using the Motorola install disks.
