HT1000 Convertacom sync issue

Post by johnmc2 »

I have an HT1000 Convertacom with amplifier installed in my vehicle, I am getting the alternating flashing green and red lights indicator on the cradle after I reinsert the radio, I can usually get the radio to sync with the convertacom, after I completely remove the power to the controller/amplifier and repower the unit along with cyling the power on the radio itself, I ususally have to do this 10 times until I get the 2 units to communicate just right, I have a power switch that turns the power off to the yellow ignition and to the main power to the amplifier (both sides), since just cycling the power to the ignition would never allow the radio to sync to the controller. Is their something in the HT1000 radio that I need to program to allow the radio to work with the convertacom correctly? or is their something in the convertacom I can look at. it appears that the radio or the convertacom is not sending some type of reset signal to start communication properly between the 2 units, I have also replaced the cradle with a new one and this did not help either.

Thanks
