What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000

Speaking of Hyundai's I have a 2005 Elantra and the vehicle is great but man this is one elecrically noisy vehcile! When the engine is on, use any VHF or UHF radio and you get severe hash, doesn't sound like engine noise either...more like RFI from the vehicle's computer. My dad's Sante Fe had the same issue, even the stereo got RFI, even on it's own radio, the hash and trash made listening to all but very strong stations on AM almost impossible. Of course the dealers say NTF but I suspect the car's ECM is the trouble. Ideas anyone?
The views here are my own and do not represent those of anyone else or the company, the boss, his wife, his dog or distant relatives.

SantaFe

I own a SantaFe and I have a Spectra trunk mount radio which I mounted the head in front of the ash tray. It blocks the lower 12v port and the tray but it is a great location. I also have a Fed-Sig Jet Strobe mini bar mounted to 1 of the roof rack cross members. I modified the bar and added strobes on the sides and 1 in the front middle. I also have a PA300 siren which I remoted the switches to below the dimmer switch. In the rear I have strobed in the brake lights reverse lights and the lower Euro light locations and the power supply is mounted in the tray above the spare tire. I couldn't get strobes in the headlights so I used wigwags (Neg.). I have red lollipop strobes in the grill (they fit nice). It works for me! Good luck!
