program cable

Post by Ett1033 »

Perhaps somebody can help...

I am reprogramming my depts radios. I have many variety as I do software & cables. Does the Midland Titan radio use the same programming cable as say the CDM 1250, or are the pinouts different. I can't remember if I have a specific cable.

Thanks.

What radios do you own?: I can't enter that much....

The plug on the end may be the same, but they most likely aren't wired the same. I say they may be the same because I think the OEM CDM series cables use a 10 pin modular plug instead of the 8 pin used by the older Radius series, as well as the Midland you mentioned. For more help with Midland, check out The Radio Information Board. I believe there is some information posted there about programming the Titan, including the schematic of the programming adapter.
