JT1000 Emergency Button

Post by kfd29 »

Just curious if anyone knows how to program the orange Emergency button ontop of the JT1000. Currently, the button activated DTMF.... I'd like to activate the Emergency Siren option, if available, like the HT750's.

You need to read it with RSS, make the change in your codeplug and then write it back. It cannot be changed via the keypad.

Pretty sure the JT1000 does not support that function. I don't think the HT1000 does either. Could be wrong, but I think the siren thing came out with the Waris line.

i've never seen any of the jedi radios be able to do the siren option. the mt's and mts's can't do it either.

I don't belive the JT has that option. The radio does no MDC of any type, something about the memory limitations due to front panel programming.
