Astro Saber Options questions

Post by bwigg »

Hi to all,

I am about to receive two H04RDC9PW5AN Astro saber 1's. Flash code is 1000080000000. From what I can determine they are 438 to 470 range and are P-25 digital. Will these radios also work on a simplex conventional freq or does this require some other option? I plan on using them on ham freqs and if they work out I will be working on getting a P-25 repeater up and running in the future.

Which brings me to my second question, is a micor secure repeater able to be reworked to pass the IMBE signal? I looked at the maxtrac article and it seemed to be pretty simple unlike secure voice which needs to be reclocked.

The flashcode indicates they would have IMBE flash. The freq spread is 403-470. The will do repeater and simplex channels. Hopefully you have the equipment to program them. I forgot to say yes it also does analog.
