Do I really have to disassemble my GP1200 to get the discriminator signal ? Ain't there any signal on pinout ?
Is there a chance to open and close safely my radio without having special tools ? I don't see any screws so I assume it is opened in a special way.
Discriminator output in JEDI

Simple answer to this..
There is no 'easy' access to the discriminator output on the JEDI radios.
Since you are unfamiliar with case removal, you do not have the service manual in your posession, get one first.
To open the radio, simply look at the bottom of the case, insert a small, thin screwdriver and pry outward, the case will begin to open and you should be able to lift the chassis from the case at that time.
DO NOT pull the case and chassis very far as there are ribbon flex cables to disconnect...they are held in place by the headers, you have to lift the release on them and THEN remove the flex cables and finally, the case from the chassis.
Never fiddle with any radio without having a service manual and some experience under your belt, before you dig into the radio's circuits, you will be asking for trouble.
