GM300 Channel Expansion Troubles

Post by aaknitt »

Hi all,

I have a UHF 16 channel GM300 that I'd like to add more channels to. I did the .mdf file hack as specified on the Batlabs page but when I try to add modes in the RSS I still get "not a valid entry".

I read this thread http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=21698 and I'm 99% sure I did the hack on the correct model number in the .mdf file. I've tried setting the number of channels to 40 and 32 with no success.

I'm using RSS version 5. Does this hack work on all RSS versions? Should I try an earlier version? Maybe I'll try bumping up the number of channels in all of the models in the .mdf and see if that helps??

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Yes, try setting ALL models to 40.
Also you might glean some info here;

That did it! I changed all of the 16 channel models to 40 channels in the .mdf file and now the RSS will let me add modes. I'm a little confused as to why I had to change them all...but it works so I guess I won't sweat it too much.
