Problem with astro spectra

I recieve New astro spectra from Head office but when I prog it in digital mode to use with old astro spectra. It not work it can't contract with old radio but in analog mode can work
New astro model is D04RHH9PW7AN-UCM Mfg Code 1000010000007
Old astro model is D04RHH9PW7an Mfg Code 0000010000009
Please help me to fix it.I change Vocoder board in New astro from old model it work.

Changing the flashcode won't help... you'll need to have the radio sent to Motorola for an uplift to IMBE. The vocoder must be flashed to make IMBE work.

If the old one has "astro" modes in it then its version of astro is VSLEP. The new one has "astro" of IMBE. Two different types of Astro. VSLEP was motorola's 1st shot at Astro and IMBE is the APCO25 standard from what I know. VSLEP and IMBE will NOT talk to each other in digital mode.

D'oh... posting too early in the morning again. Got my new and old flipped.

Jason's correct... if the old one does digital, it's VSELP. You'll have to get IT uplifted to IMBE to be compatible with the new unit.
