800 mgz radio range
I have a mid power spectra mobile D45KMA7JA5AK and was wondering what the freq. band or the range is for this radio. Thanks.

Spectra code
It's an 800 mHz radio. The complete explanation of the coding can be
found at http://www.Batlabs.com under Model Specific Information then clicking
on Spectra.
As to range of a radio that's a hard question to answer because it all depends
on mobile vs. fixed, antenna type, antenna height, terrain, power, etc.

All 800 Spectras cover all of what was (but things have changed a bit under rebanding) the primary 800 band (851-865 out and 806-820) in. Some will accept so-called "821" channels (866-869 out and 821-824 in) as simplex or control channels, and all will follow an OSW channel grant into the 821 band. They will not, however, do the rebanding channel splits in the reconstituted 851-853.4875 slice.
