CDM1250 & computer
I wanted to hook up our radio audio to the computer to use it to record and also be able to listen in over the internet. Can the audio be hooked up right to the input on the computer or do i need to do something else?
Use the fixed level output rather than the speaker output, that way someone playing with the volume doesn't change the audio recording level. The CDM's audio is balanced so you should put it through a balancing transform ($2 @ rat shack) before connecting to the computer since the computer has a grounded audio input.
All that said and done, yes it will work just fine. I did the same thing with a tone remote deskset. It is hooked up to a computer for streaming audio and I use RecAll pro for recording.

Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

MCS2000 is pin 11...I don't recall the Spectra at the moment...I think there are jumper changes required on the command board to make it happen.911-EMT wrote:Thanks mmfire10 that is a good idea, I always have problems with the volume, but ware do I get the fixed level output on the spectra or on the mcs2000?
