XTL5000 accessory connector

Post by Al Pal »

Does anyone know if the 26 pin accessory connector on the XTL5000 radio is available as a generic/off-the-shelf item or is it a Motorola proprietary device? The connector on the radio is female and the male counterpart has the part number MR52x110-5136-30 and includes a fuseholder. It's unusual in that the fastening screws are not placed symmetrically on the long axis but with a rotaional symmetry off opposite corners.

If it's not proprietary Motorola, what is it called? Where else can it (or more specifically, the male counterpart with or without the fuse holder) be bought?

TIA

digi-key or mouser are about the only two i can think of.

with today's cost-consious manufacturing, i can't see M using a non-standard connector.

just too darn expensive anymore.

Sorry, I should've mentioned before - Australian sources preferred!

Cheers
