I seen some where when page is sent to this guys radio i think its a cdm1250 he has a strob lite hooked up so so when he is paged out it flashes. dose anbody know if and how this is done? the strobe is a small 12v jobie from wallmart.

I know that IDOT here in Illinois (Highway Public Works and Such) have that enabled on their CDM1250s, so that when they cannot be reached on the radio, it is assumed they are out of their truck, so the dispatcher sends a MDC Alert to the specific radio being paged, and, in turn, it blows the horn and flashes the light for a short peroid of time. I do not have my CPS running right now, but I'm sure it can be done.

Yes, there is an accessory pin on the connector that can be momentary or latching and activated by a page.

Only Pin 4 can be used as the "external alarm" pin, which is set off by either a QCII or MDC page. It can be programmed to trip from 1 to 20 seconds, and can have a delay of 1 to 30 seconds. It outputs 12VDC to drive a relay or whatever.
