looking at buying a mt 2000 mod h01kdd9aa7an rev 2.04 can someone tell how old this radio is and will it do quick call i need it to alert to my fd tones any help would be gret

you need to know the serial number to tell the date it was made, email me with the serial number and i can tell you the date. but i think it can do QCII.

Yes it will decode QCII, as the firmware is above R02.00

Note: It will decode quick-call but will not encode quick-call. I have a MT2000 with the same version and that's all it does. You'd be better off finding a HT750 or HT1250.

ox i don't think he's looking for it to generate tones, as he said he wants it to "alert TO his fire dept tones" so decode will do nicely for him.

It could be interpreted either way. I'm sure he's a big boy and if he wanted the info for decode only then that info is there. But if he did mean it the other way, the info is also there. I'm sure this person is perfectly capable of making intelligent decisions without someone coming along and thinking for him.
