channel problem

channel problem

A bunch of us are on a repeater channel works well but the portables suck. We are also getting alot of interference and using a dpl. We have ht1000's, cp200's, and a kenwood. any suggestions?

Somebody else using the same frequency and same DPL?
In addition to that possibility a number of other ones come to
mind, but the troubleshooting should start by your deifning the
problem as exactly as you can, then taking it from there.

At the Highschool I go to, the transportation repeater (R100) and security repeater (GR300) both interfere with each other over security one because they both use the same DPL. So if the repeater uses the same DPL/TPL and is next to one of a similar code, that could possibly be the problem.

Just a suggestion.
