P1225 Identifiers

Post by bandaidken »

My department has a mixture of p1225's and ht1250's.

I can program the ht1250's and have given them Identifiers and they decode the four digit ID to a name (I programmed the MDC list).

Can i program or have the p1225's programmed with an ID that can also be displayed on the ht1250's? I know that the p1225s do not have the mdc1200 capability, but what format is their identifiers?

I hope I am making sense. What I want is the dispatcher and those of us (officers) that have the ht1250s to be able to tell who is keying up.

Thanks
Ken

The P1225 is a fairly limited beast. There is no PTT signalling for the radio. You can send DTMF, but only in phone mode, not with a simple PTT. There is an option board to enable QCII decode, but it doesn't allow PTT encode.

I would say a 3rd party MDC board such as Midian makes would be your best bet.
