mt2000 rss or cps?

mt2000 rss or cps?

hi can an mt-2000 be programmed w/ cps or just rss

after turning radio i hit the last button down from the top before the ptt button 5 times its tells you the codeplug version .mine read r02.13 is that a cps version?
my rss version is r06.00.00 and wont read radio.says code plug to old for this application.

RSS. There is no CPS for this radio.

The 2.13 you see in the screen is the internal firmware version of the radio, and doesn't have anything to do with the RSS version it was last programmed with. RSS version 6.00.00 is quite old...circa 1998 to be more precise, so the chances are very good that any radio you pick-up is going to have been programmed with a newer version. 6.08.00 is the latest, but 6.07.00 should be ok for 99% of what's available out there.
