MT1000 cloning issues

Post by dw200 »

Trying to clone a B model into another B model. I built the proper cable and followed the process. However, instead of the LED on radio A turning green and going off when finished all it does is constantly flash green and has no effect on radio B. Am I doing something stupid or could the cloning feature be turned off?? any input would be appreciated.

Two possibilites, bad connection, or Radio B has cloning disabled. I have seen many of them with cloning disabled, some shops will do that when they program them to prevent others from cloning of a radio programmed for use.

As for bad connections, take a plain old pencil eraser and polish up the contacts on top of both radios to a nice shine and try again to rule that out.
