What radios do you own?: VHF/UHF MTS 2000...and growing

Repaeter question

Post by ffemt1764 »

I was wondering if there is any way to connect a GM300 and a Spectra low power together to build a repeater? If so what is the pinout. The spectra is a remote mount and I dont have an extra CH for it so if I could use the db25 on the front to build the repeater that would be nice. Any and all help and input is appreaciated!

I suppose it could be possible.

If you use the spectra as a transmitter, you could probably use a RICK and simply rewire the transmit end pinouts to fit on the 15 pin connector on the rear of the spectra.

you could do it if you had the head. and you are going to need the head anyway to program the radio. i think your best bet would be to find a used head somewhere.

Accually the Spectra can run without the control head on the default MODE.

The connection can be accessed on the 15 pin Fe connector.

See the Spectra section on BatLabs or Mikes Spectra site for pinouts....
