Lamp Control via Min II Amp

Post by firemed9 »

A question for the gurus:
My dad is getting up there in age, but god bless him, he still makes more fire calls a month than I do on our volunteer department. However, the pager isn't waking him up as much anymore, my mom is!!!
Anyways, he has a minitor II with an amp charger with the relay outputs. What would I have to buy and do to make the amp charger turn on the lamp next to his bed? What would I need to do to make it turn on the ceiling light in his bedroom?

Thank you in advance,

Steve

P.s. (to the mods) I wasn't sure if this would go under the pager section or the main section. Please move if necessary.

<edit> I did do a search, and found many references to doing this, but not what is needed and HOW to do this </edit>

This module, along with some lamp modules, is what I use. Lights up the way out of the house, and lights up the yard at night. In the daytime, the outside light lets me know if there is a page, if I'm not wearing the pager.

Parts needed: A SPST relay with a coil to match the Minitor Amp power, 12VDC?
Another timer relay to handle the 120 Volts AC going to the house lamps. This can be set to turn the lamps off after a preset time.
Or one of the modules mentioned above.

I am not sure how much the internal relay in the Amp/Charger, IF there is one..... can handle.
