6D Saber Question

I have a 6D SABER I and a 5D SABER III. I would like to make the SABER III 6D. If possible which modules do I need to swap? Thanks!!

Easy! Of course both of them need to be the same length, both secure capable, or both non-secure.

First of all read both radios and save the codeplug.

Just pull the guts from the Saber I and the Saber III.

Swap the front shield from the III to the I frame and put it back into the III case. Load the saved codeplug, go to radio features and enable the 6D options, and dump into the new combo and when it asks about the tuning data select F6 to use the tuning data in the radio. Save a copy of this new 6D codeplug.

Then take the 5D guts that was in the III and put the I front shield on it and put into the I case, again load your saved I codeplug, but go into the features screen and disable the 6D selection, and then dump to it and use F6. Save a backup of the new 5D version of that codeplug.

Now you have a Saber I 5D and a Saber III 6D..
