Motorola MC micro DATA and the Accessory Connector

Post by Matti »

I have a Motorola MC micro DATA radio. There is a 15 way accessory connector just beneath the antenna connector. Where can I find the pin-out of the connector i.e. the correspondence between the signal names and the pin numbers?

MC Micro Data Radio

It appears as if the MC Micro Radio Product was designed and developed over in the MOTOROLA GMBH Facility and marketed throughout the U.K. and Europe. I found most of the URL information on BatLab's Search function and the rest on Google.

Hi Matti,

since I have LOTS of these radios, as far as I know till now, the pinout you need is:

1. TX Audio (modem tx line).
2. ???
3. ???
4. ???
5. Channel Steering.
6. RX audio (modem rx line).
7. Carrier Detect out (active low).
8. Radio Xmit (out). (Goes lo when PTT line is lo) (This is NOT a PTT line)
9. Channel Steering.
10.Speaker (hot)
11.GND
12.GND
13.Channel Steering.
14.Channel Steering.
15.??? (in)

Channel Steering lines are active low.

The radio is capable of 32 channels, but only 16 can be selected from the Channel Steering pins.

What RSS do you use for this version of MC micro?
