KVL 3000/3000+ Part numbers

Post by K4RUR »

Hi,
I am looking to purchase a KVL 3000/3000+ and I am having trouble finding the damn thing on MOL. Anyone know the part number for the complete unit? All I seem to find is repair parts.

Thanks,
Lowry K4RUR

Item is above the price book so you won't be able to find it (I tried looking last night for a pal) on MOL. Dunno if /\/\ will sell these direct to end users, but it wouldn't hurt to give them a call and see what they say. Then you will know for sure.

I was afraid of that. I looked it up on the Government and Enterprise page and I emailed them a request for a quote. We'll see. You don't know what they are asking for them do you?

Thanks,
Lowry

What radios do you own?: Too many!

As far as price goes, it all depends on the algorithms that you add to them.

The KVL 3000 is no longer made.

KVL 3000 Plus is model T6717, and is $850.00

WITHOUT SOFTWARE.

Options (several are required)....
one or both of these:
U239AC Astro 25 Mode $212.50
X795AH ASN Mode $510

then add your flavor...

C793BL DVI-XL $637.50
CA00182AA AES $637.50
CA00243AA ADP $255
X423AE DES/XL/OFB $1317.50
X769AC DVP-XL $637.50

cables are also options, and run $60-$90 each

this info was found on the net from a DoD website - nothing proprietary involved.

Thank you very much. I can see I'm going to need a soothing ointment if I decide to purchase one. Ouch.

Thanks for the replies guys,
Lowry

What algorithm are you going to use? Unless you need AES or ADP it would be a lot cheaper to get a used T3011DX or similar off eBay.
