Mic Pin-out assignment

Post by sandhead »

Hello,

My 1st post

I have a AARMN4025B Mic from a Motorola CDM750, that I would like to use on my Icom V8000 2 meter ham radio. The Icom Mic is rather fragile.

I'm looking for the pin out assignments to the Mic connector (RJ45).

Does anybody have it?

Thanks
Will

The CDM MIC pin-outs are on batlabs.com in the model specific section.

The Motorola mobile mic's are way different than the ICOM mics. The Motorola mobile mics have a built-in preamp powered by a bias voltage provided by the mobile. Seems the CDM series are a little different, but still have the amplifier built-in and different output levels.

The ICOM radios do not have the bias, and use a lowlevel mic element, so are not compatable. ICOM would not provide a schematic or parts for the mic(s).

And yes, the ICOM mics are J U N K...
ICOM has a more rugged mic, HM150, that we ordered, but it is not here yet for evalulation.

pinouts for some other brands, limmited information on some of the pins:
