Have you tried reflashing the radio? Try an older flash if you have one. What is the model #?

I would try the newest firmware and see what happens.

The newest for the NON-4-LINE radio is R05.09.13

If you like email me and I can send you the PDF files on what it fixes.

When attaching the programming cable the radio automaticly turns on. I always turn the radio on first, before attaching the cable. Are you turning the radio on/off with the cable attached? If you are, remove the cable, then try turning it on/off.

I usually try to make sure the radio is turned on first. However i got two radios exhibiting similar power off problems.
