cross reference for an IC

Post by tennesseestargazer »

Is there a generic replacement for U403 in the motorola Mitrek receiver stage? I found a replacement for the Limiter/detector IC, an NTE788.

My cross reference shows U403 = 5184621K76 =LM1458N = NTE778A = SK3465. Hope one of those numbers help.

I was looking at the circuit and I was thinking of using a TL082 op amp. I have several of them.

Looks like a standard general purpose opamp, TL082 should probably work, You could put a socket in so you can easily change it if it doesn't.

I'm not sure about U403 since I've no schematic of the Mitrek, but as far as I know the disriminator IC of the Mitrek (and aslo of some other Mots)
is the good ol' CA3089, if we are talking about the same IC.
