Advisor to RIB connection

Post by majorwyss »

I just picked up a Motorola RIB to program a bunch of Saber handhelds. That worked perfectly. I also have an Advisor text pager and would like to be able to do it. I can't find the cable diagram anywhere. I don't have a cradle. I just want to engineer a cable to go from the Advisor to the RIB.

...Or you can build one yourself if you feel inclined:

I've built this interface and programmed many Advisor pagers with no problems; cheaper and simpler:

Search the forums to check out what pins go where on the pager.

Anyone have the drawing to etch a pcb for the pager RIB or/and the "simpler" UPI?

Thanks
