Minitor V squelch open

Post by arlojanis »

I have a Minitor V stored voice pager that the squelch is open all the time. What can I check?

Do you mean on continuously after it alerts or when you turn it on it immediately opens squelch?

I know mine gets really pissed when it gets near ethernet cabling.

Start by checking the squelch setting in the pager service/programming software. Usually they come from the factory set at about 5. Could've been changed without someone realizing what they were doing.

I saw this on a minitor 3 last week. It would beep once on power up (sounded just like a minitor 2 powerup beep) and just let static through.

It was just after a fire and it got wet. I think it worked fine once it dried out.
