Sync'ing up cp's

Post by KuhnElectronics »

I am interested to see how other MSS's sync up tech's laptops to ensure that everyone is running up to date...

i have heard of software that sync's up files using a jump drive, and if a tech updates and program's a cp, he can come back to the shop, hook up to the main programming computer and the other techs can stop by the main computer and update their jump drives...

Do it over the network with something like Unison.

Use a dongle drive and a briefcase (I think one comes with Windows??), works great for backing up and synching all kinds of files.
