vehicle tracking on LMR

i'd like to get some kind of GPS receiver that i can connect to the 16-pin accy port on our CMD750 & PM400 mobiles that will transmit the GPS data at the end of the transmission. i have conventional uhf freq's on MTR2000 repeaters. i don't know much about this, but what should i be looking for. i saw some thales units that might be what i'm looking for but i'm not sure if they are meant to be used in this manner or not.
Pryme radio products is about to release a GPS speaker mic for use with almost any 2-way portable radio. they will transmit GPS data at the end of the user's TX, at programmable intervals, and/or as requested by dispatch. mapping is displayed on any pc connected to an RX radio running a mapping software. unfortunately they won't have a mobile version of this product. (at least nothing yet). i will probably try them out when they become available.
anyway, i'm looking for something like that, but for our vehicles. add-on black boxes are fine. i have no problem with mounting a box and a GPS antenna. i'm just looking for something that will work properly with the radios and TX the GPS info like the Pryme units do.
what should i be looking for here? any suggestions are welcome.
