GM/Chev Jotto Desk computer mount

GM/Chev Jotto Desk computer mount

Anyone install one of these? How much is the pole removable? I would like to mount one to the passenger powered seat, but I don't want the lower pole to be a PITA to passengers (ie Wife). This would be in a 1500 chevy.
