HT750 Problem

HT750 Problem

I have a Uhf 4 Channel HT750 Radio that is completely dead...
Check fuse, fuse is good, check the 16.8 mhz crystal that is good working order. Changed Volume pot, still dead, it seems when you lift up on the volume pot the radio will come on. Is there anything around the voume pot that would make the radio go dead. Voltage is not reaching the volume pot on pins 4 and 5. Is there anyone out there that could give me some ideas abou solving this problem
