As far as I know, there never was a trunking version of the CT250 made, only conventional. The CT450ls was designed for trunking applications. The CT250 requires the AAPMKN4004A program/test cable if you buy it from Motorola. If you only need to program and already have a RIB it's much cheaper to build your own; you only need a 2.5mm stereo(3 circuit) phone plug and a length of 24 gauge zipcord and a DB style connector to mate with the one on the RIB.
The CPS required is p/n HVN6053...I think the last revision was E.

boy do i feel foolish---i checked the radio, its uhf conv. i was told when i bought the thing that it was 800 trunked. i should have known. i guess next i will buy ocean front property in az. thanks for the help, i really feel stupid. olepro
