I was roped into helping to build a self-propelled float chassis for a major parade next year. The artsy type in charge of the decorations really wants to obstruct the drivers view.
We need to engineer a fairly easy way for the escorts (the folks walking with the float) to talk with the driver to keep him out of trouble.
Was thinking a mobile with DC headset for the driver, and GP-300's for their escorts (with a PTT on their sleeves)
Anyone else have ideas?

Use HT600's...
Just don't do what Disney did... they put all the parade people on their new fancypants nextel setup...
And no one got the message to stop in time.
HT600's for all!
