Recommend a Good AVL/MDT System

Post by Birken Vogt »

I am trying to feel out what it would take to put in place a MDT/AVL system. The MDT could be pretty basic, with simple at scene/available type message status buttons. My thought was that something on a single frequency like APRS would be nice since it would be on a single freq and be easy to notch and filter so as to not interfere with the existing radios. There are lots of other issues but I would take forever listing them. Just trying to feel out what is there. I am familiar with the Pyramid 3012 but there is other stuff as well I am sure.
