CDM1550 boot up problem

Post by cduda »

I have 5 CDM1550 radios. all the same model and everthing. All have the same exact codeplug. One on, when you turn the batteries on (firetruck), it does not boot to the primary revert channel, Zone 1, Channel 1. All of the other 4 do no problem but one. Again...all the radios are identical with identical codeplugs. The one in question, 1 time will boot to channel 4, zone 1, next time channel 11, zone 1, just what ever. Any ideas?

Check the power set up. The radio needs the power leads to an unswitched 12 volt source and the ignition sense to a switched source. Saw this a lot with other series radios that had main power to the switch. All of our CDM's are now wired the proper way and have no power on issues.
