Just tried to read a new cm300 using a AARKN4081B cable with a FKN8096A adapter in cps mode, running cps ver. 5.03.00. Cps states error #2411 - corrupted code plug.
Is my radio now dead or is this just motorola's way of telling me to update my software.
cm300 corrupted? error#2411

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
it's probablly not the cps, it would say codeplug too new if that was the case. are you shure you had the adaptor in normal mode and not flash mode at any time you were trying to read or write to the radio? what is the exact model number. it's possible that you can write a different codeplug into the radio and overwrite what's in it.

Actually the CP/CM series won't say that the codeplug is too new.
I had a handful CP200 and CP150 go to the depot for service and were returned with the newest firmware (3.0 I believe) and when I tried to use the old software for giggles it returned a corrupted codeplug error. Used the latest software and it read fine.
Same thing happened with some BPR40s that had the 01.01 firmware, software did not mention that the codeplug was too new and instead returned an error message about a corrupted codeplug.
