P200 two-to-six channel conversion & escutcheons needed!

Post by ve7wdm »

Hello - I am looking for a way to convert a VHF P200 from two channel to six channel. Anyone have any suggestions? I heard that this can be done with a program called 2to6.exe, but I can't find this anywhere! Help!

Also, I am looking for two or six channel top escutcheons for the P200. I will pay all costs. Thanks! -Wes Martin.

The P200, as well as its brethren, the HT600 suffer from Circle-M processor changes that prohibit 'upgrading' them from 2 channels to 16.

What you end up with is successive channels, 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2...Etc........

You can't simply add channels, nor use TK or the older 'conversion' programs that were popular in the late '80s to mid '90s.

'94 was the cutoff for the GP300/P110 series, as is probably the same for the Genesis radios also.

My '94 vintage P200 is crippled the same way.....stuck on two channels.

Thanks to all those who provided me with the 2to6.exe program! Woked like a charm!! The P200 2-channel is now a 6-channel radio! -Wes.

Appears that Wes got lucky and had an older radio!

That's good news!

I am happy you were able to regain 6 channels instead of the 2 that you started with.

Must have been made pre-'94.
