serial bus error 1

Post by stevey »

Howdy,
I am attempting to program a Ht600, but I keep getting serial bus error 1.
I am using a 550Mhz computer and moslo.I have had good luck in the past with this combination but for some reason this one is being a bit stubborne. Is there a list of serial bus fault codes for the Ht600 so perhaps I can figure what is wrong. And yes I know the computer is too fast for the old software, but like I said it has worked in the past on the same radio.
Thanks

The fact that it worked in the past means you were just plain lucky.

The HT600 program needs a slow computer, such as a 486-25 or maybe a 486-33. Anything faster and it will NOT work reliably. It may work once in a while and it will not work at other times.

I think you've answered your own question.

The recent version of HT600 software R03.01.00 does not mind a fast computer as long as it is a clean DOS boot. Get rid of the Moslo, it is useless.
