mcs2000 advanced control head change

Hey I have a question/need some help. I sent my MCS2000 off to someone to have the codeplug changed in it so I can use my advanced control head on the radio.

I got a reply that the radio would not accept the codeplug, and that most likely I have the wrong version of the interconnect board for the head and it may need conversion.

Can anyone help out with this, or does anyone know what needs to be done to use my advanced control head on a radio that has a basic control head on it now?

What do you mean by advanced, do you mean a model 2 or 3... Or do you mean one of the new O series?

To be honest I'm not sure. Should I post a picture of it? Or is that information located in the serial number/model number somewhere?
