Moderators, I know this is off topic...but I am in quite a predicament...on a non moto product...

we took over a customer with an Orbacom Console and we know ABSOLUTELY nothing about it...and until we get someone in a class, their tech support will not even speak to us...

please PM me....

I would see if you could subcontractor another radio service shop to do the work until you can get someone trained. If you do not service them then you will most likely not have to worry about them as a customer. Not to be cruel but if I were looking for a service shop I would want to make sure they had the capability to service all or our gear. Buyer be ware!!

Ah, but some customers get fed up with a 'trained' shop, and jump ship to one who isn't 'trained', but who may have a better reputation in the region.

Granted, a shop would always prefer to maintain stuff that they're familiar with. But if you get to 'take over' a customer who has a certain infrastructure, and they and you think you can work well together, you might as well step up to the plate.

Do you need a new manual for a Caldia desktop console? If so, PM me off list.
