Extension Cord For Mic RMN4038B
Hello. I need to get an extension cord for mic RMN4038B, CDM series radio. I need about a 10 foot cord. I just want to plug the existing cord into the extension cord and then plug that into the radio. Is this available or do I need to make one? What is the best way? I did a search here but really didn't get a definitive answer. Thanks. Henry

I use a piece of CAT5e computer cable with a coupler at one end. Plug the mic into the coupler and you are all set.
I have also used a piece of flat 8 conductor grey phone wire, an RJ45 plug on the radio end, and a surface mount CAT5e jack. Wire pin 1 of the RJ45 to pin 1 of the CAT5e surface jack, pin 2 to pin 2, and so on. Works fine.

Motorola cellular makes a 16-foot straight through ribbon cable with male & female ends. The female end has screw holes for mounting to whatever. Perfect for what you need. Part# SKN4467A. A nearby cellular dealer might have one in stock.

There is one on ebay right now!
I guess you can find everything on ebay if you look hard enough.
